Fuse® is a proprietary product from CSI that combines two excellent, non-repellent active ingredients, imidacloprid and fipronil. This combination makes one of the most powerful ant control products available on the market. Using Fuse® for perimeter pest control takes outdoor preventative and curative treatments for multiple structure invading pests to the next level, while minimizing call backs for stubborn ant issues.
Both actives are non-repellent, meaning it won’t push ant colonies deeper into cracks and crevices and will not cause budding of ant species. Instead, ants won’t detect either active and will pick up a lethal dose of two active ingredients with entirely different modes of action – resulting in maximized kill.
In an independent study conducted by the University of Tennessee, Fuse provided over 90% control of structure infesting ants over 12 weeks. Fuse® was applied at the 0.067% rate to 20 structures, with multiple ant species accounted for, including acrobat ants, crazy ants, odorous house ants, carpenter ants, fire ants, little black ants, and additional species.
Fuse® is also a very versatile perimeter product with an extremely flexible label – allowing for the most applications per year with a product containing fipronil. PMPs can choose how many applications per year fits into their perimeter protocols and adjust the spray swath and end use dilution rates accordingly to the chart below.

The label allows an applicator to apply a spray swath of up to 18 inches in width around doors, windows, vents, pipes, foundation cracks, drilled holes or around any exterior opening where listed pests could enter the structure. This application can be made as a general surface spray, crack and crevice, or void application. Fuse® can be applied to many areas ants and other pests utilize to enter structures on the exterior perimeter, making Fuse® a versatile, year-round perimeter product.
