LICENSE RENEWAL

Agricultural (AG) Licenses

AG license holders will receive a packet containing paperwork in or around the September timeframe of their renewal year that must be completed and returned no later than December 31st . The packet will include the fee that must be paid to renew, and will ask for the required class names, codes, locations, dates and hours received from each class. Target Trak is a great added value Target Specialty Products (TSP) offers our customers because the report satisfies the DPR requirements for renewal. If a customer has attended classes outside of TSP, they must include that class information in addition to their Target Trak report. We advise not to delay submitting your information for license renewal as to not delay your ability to work.

Structural Licenses

Structural license holders will receive a packet containing paperwork in or around the April timeframe of their renewal year that must be completed and returned. The packet will include the fee that must be paid to renew and it will ask that you to sign under penalty of perjury that you in fact have the required 16, 20 or 24 hours needed to renew. Once the Structural Pest Control Board (SPCB) receives your renewal they will audit 1 out of 4 license holders. Audit notification may take up to 6 months after renewal. If you are audited you must then provide proof of attendance. TSP provides proof of attendance by issuing certificate at the completion of a class. The certificates are proof of attendance and can be mailed to the SPCB if audited. If needed, you may use our Duplicate Certificate Request form to request a copy.

Agricultural license holders (PCA, QAL, QAC) (ranked highest to lowest)

A person holding more than one license should count their hours on the highest license. These hours will also count towards their other license. AG licenses are renewed every 2 years. If you have just received your license and are asked to renew with only 1 year of CEU’s, 10 hours will be required this one and only time around.

QAL (Qualified applicator license) 4 16 20 hours

The renewal period for structural licenses is every 3 fiscal years*, ending in June from year first licensed.

*Please note that applicators renew every 3 years from the date of issuance, NOT every 3 years in June.

There is now a new requirement when renewing your applicators license. IPM is now required and you must have at least 2 hours of IPM continuing education units. Because of the changes made to applicators CEU requirements, TSP has started offering many more classes with IPM credit.
