Bid Specialist Fast-paced ISO compliant distributor is seeking an energenic, self-motivated Bid Specialist to join a winning team. Target Specialty Products is the West's leading distributor of specialty agricultural chemicals, application equipment, supplies, services and education.
We currently have a Bid Specialist position open. Bid Specialists should have quantitative/technical skills and will complement our Sales Representatives in Santa Fe Springs, CA. An agriculture background and experience bidding municipalities are bonuses.
The primary function of this position is to support Target Specialty's sales team through the preparation and effective delivery of all aspects of bid development and professional bid documentation. Position requires experience in writing, risk analysis and pricing.
Qualifications: - Ability to communicate effectively with customers, internal sales, customer service and senior management - Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Access Database a plus) - Ability to quanitfy product promotion programs including manufacturer rebate programs - Aptitude to interact with purchasing department on product availability - Skills to negotiate terms and special pricing with manufacturers - Capacity to input bid data on proprietary database software program and maintain accurate records - Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance or Economics a plus
